![]() ![]() I think I finally just went to Computer and right-clicked Computer/Properties and reactivated it with the # requested (it took me awhile to remember it was on the computer itself and not written down somewhere.įor a computer that I have had for a long time w/o any issues it is suddenly breaking bad six ways to Sunday! But the card # was stolen before the system/registry restores and I found the weird file before we were alerted about the card. I did have an issue recently where I used the New Spybot Search and Destroy and it made some changes to Windows that caused the “this copy of Windows is not genuine” black screen error but was able to fix it: 1) First I did a Windows system restore and a registry restore and then I went to and used that fix which I don’t remember working. And the computer has been acting a bit buggy- fast as it should be and then slow for no reason and all of my mp3 file associations were changed to play with WMP instead of Jet Audio (but I did recently download that U2 album from iTunes) and the security and privacy settings in WMP (Windows Media Player) were inexplicably changed. never) This file was deleted by me after viewing it’s contents. but I store all word docs together and I store all jpegs together, not mixed together in a file named in a way that I would not write it (e.g. ![]() I also found a file on my computer that I definitely did not create (it was a file named after a person I know) and different types of files (jpegs, word documents, jscripts) regarding that person that are on my computer were found in this mixed all together in this folder. ![]() I use CCleaner religiously after using the internet and also delete my history and such from the browser (I use Google Chrome as my browser). ![]() I only use this card online and only on reputable sites like Amazon and iTunes so I don’t understand how this happened. Recently a credit card # was stolen and used for fraudulent purposes. ![]()
